Raimundas Vaišvila, Chairman of the Education Committee of the Šiauliai Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts, spoke about the initiative of the city of Šiauliai to attract "start-up" companies to our city, and for this it is very important to have IT students ready to engage in these activities.
During the meeting, a meaningful and engaging discussion took place, which reviewed the main problems of students' involvement in the labor market, and discussed the challenges that students face when looking for faster involvement in the city's activities.
Lina Garšvienė, director of the Regional Development Institute of VU Šiauliai Academy, specified that meetings between students and city managers and businesses are very important in order to get involved in the labor market as successfully as possible. In the discussion, we clarified the clear need for Lithuanian language training for foreign students.
